Rotary Club of Southbank Night of a Thousand Dinners Night of a Thousand Dinners is a world-wide event to help Clear Landmines and Reduce Human Suffering. (click for more details)

	At an unprecedented event, on the night of November 30, 2001, thousands of individuals around the world joined their friends, family, and neighbors for dinner to celebrate an important step towards creating a new world: a world  where children can walk and play without fear, confident that the earth below their feet is clear of landmines.
We, the Rotary Club of Southbank were one of the first around the world to hold this worthy fundraising event this year. (Because of the time difference).   The event was held at Yarra's Edge - Mirvac Sales Office, Lorimer St, Southbank The substantial funds we raised will assist in clearing landmines through the Adopt-a-Minefield project, which is managed by the United Nations Development Program. The objective is simple - Remove landmines and reduce human suffering. ITS AN ANNUAL EVENT - NEXT DATE IS  30 NOVEMBER 2002. Put it in your diary NOW!
